A serious physical training for teens

Krav Maga for teens is for young people aged 11 to 17 who want to learn a realistic self-defence system. The lessons are active and challenging, with attention to technique, fitness, discipline, and building skills step by step.

It is not about showing off or winning against others. Your child learns how to keep thinking, respond under pressure, and get home safely. From age 16, a teen who wants to and is ready can also join the adult Krav Maga group.

What does your child learn in Krav Maga?

Krav Maga is more than a collection of techniques. Your child builds connected skills, so they increasingly understand what they are doing, why, and in which scenario it can best be applied.

Realistic self-defence

Teens learn to deal with common attacks, grabbing, and threats. With and without weapons, against one or more attackers. We build the skills step by step, with respect for one another.

Acting under pressure

Not everyone automatically responds as planned in a tense situation. That is why teens practise staying calmer, making choices, and acting quickly and effectively.

Strength, fitness, and coordination

The training is physically challenging. Teens become stronger, fitter, and more skilled, which helps them when a situation arises unexpectedly.

Discipline and self-confidence

Progress comes through regular practice, attention, and perseverance. When teens notice that they can build skills, their confidence grows too.

A structured progression

You do not learn Krav Maga in a few separate lessons. We build the necessary skills step by step, adding new techniques, combinations, and more challenging exercises at each Krav Maga level.

A strong foundation first

Your child starts with the principles and basic techniques of Krav Maga. This creates a solid foundation they can rely on later.

Then more connection and challenge

As teens progress, they combine techniques and learn to switch more quickly. The exercises become more challenging without skipping the progression.

Suited to age and level

The curriculum is based on the teens’ age and level. Challenging enough to grow, but not too difficult to learn.

Why parents ultimately choose Double Defense

At Double Defense, we offer both Krav Maga and resilience training for teens. This enables us to provide better tailored solutions than other Krav Maga providers.

Krav Maga and resilience training

We know both routes and understand that not every teen needs the same thing at every moment. Based on their needs, they can easily switch to the resilience training for teens that best suits the current situation.

The student comes first, not the instructor

People have trained Krav Maga at Double Defense for more than ten years. Not because they think we are the best at Krav Maga, but because of our vision, teaching method, broad person-centred approach, and the atmosphere in the group.

Schedule a free intro lesson

Would you like to see whether Krav Maga suits your child? Schedule an intro lesson. You will get to know the group, the instructors, and the way we train.

After the first lesson, we discuss how your child experienced it and whether the chosen route is suitable. After the second intro lesson, you can enrol your child in the weekly training.
