Not fighting, but growing

Resilience starts with experiencing what you can do. That is why we work through movement on posture, voice, boundaries, self-confidence, and self-defense. This can be in a group class, course, workshop, or smaller setting. Always with attention to who you are and what you need.

Our approach

We train situations, not tricks.

In our classes you work with recognizable situations: someone comes too close, you struggle to say no, you are put under pressure, or you need to defend yourself physically.

Every situation has a mental, verbal, and physical side. That is why we practice not only techniques, but also posture, voice, making choices, and acting under pressure.

Sometimes that is calm and exploratory. Sometimes physical and more intense. Always step by step and suited to the group or person.

Double Defense has been active in Hilversum for almost 10 years and combines experience in resilience training, pedagogical work, coaching, and self-defense systems like Krav Maga. That is why we look beyond practicing a technique: we look at what the person in front of us needs.
